We made it through another day and this one seemed to move a little more smoothly. We did good work in class today, but I encourage everyone to remember that there are many of us in the room and truly creating a good classroom community requires responsibility on everyone's behalf. Let's try to be successful in class by following the routines and rituals we have been setting up. Most importantly remember to treat your classmates in a manner you would like to be treated in.
There was no specific homework for tonight, but I would make it a habit to read every night as a default assignment. You want to keep a record of all of your independent reading in your reading log... author, title, date and pages read as well as a response based on the sheet given out.
