Tonight's homework - Interesting people

Historical fiction narrative due tomorrow with all drafts - remember to have it formatted correctly - single spaced, spell checked, grammar checked, 12 pt font, times new roman, with 1.25 margins. Your name should appear on the top right corner and your title should be centered on the page under your name...Make sure all paragraphs are indented (1 tab). If you can make sure your document is justified, that would be great too.

Post to this blog post:

I thought that John Marshall was the most interesting person that we learned today because he was the cousin of Thomas Jefferson. They both had way different ideas but, agreed on one thing, the alien and sediment act.

The most interesting person(people) that I learned about today was Lewis and Clark. It was very interesting how they both became great friends even though all of their personalities were different except for one. They both loved adventure!

The people that I found it most interesting to learn about were Lewis and Clark, because without them, there might not have been anybody willing to explore and chart the land newly bought by Thomas Jefferson. Lewis and Clark were opposites in nature and abilities, making their journey a lot more interesting. Lewis was a shy person who couldn't spell, and Clark was very talkative and educated. On their journey west, they came across many new things and had some great adventures, including a fight with two bears. Lewis and Clark were some amazing people!

I found that Thomas Jefferson was the most interesting. Thomas Jefferson had many good characteristics like he was generous, responsible, and had good manners. I think that It is most important that a President had these qualities, because then they will be able to run thier country well.

The most interesting poeple I learned about in class today would have to be Lewis and Clark. It was amazing how Thomas Jefferson had chosen such different people, but both balanced each other out. It's odd how when we were making the posters, Jonathan drew a ying-yang symbol as a random thing, but it turned out that Lewis and Clark was like that; different personalities but yet, when together, they make a good team.

I thought that John Marshall was the most interesting person because a lot of people liked him in many different ways. Like George Washington was a family friend of his. He was elected as Secratary of State, and Cheif of Justice for the U.S Supreme Court.

I think the most interesting person I learned today was John Marshall. It was kind of cool that he and Thomas Jefferson was cousin and they hated each other. It was also interesting that him and Thomas Jefferson always had diffrent ideas and they agreed on one same thing, the ailen act.

I thought Sacajawea was very interesting because she spoke alot of indian languages. I also thought it was quite interesting to know that she got married when she was 16 years old and that she led Lewis and Clark on all of their expeditions. I also can't believe that she died when she was only 24.

I thought the most interesting person was John Marshall. John was the oldest of 15 children and he was born in a log cabin. He was also cousins with Thomas Jefferson but they were enimies. He studied law and in 1779 he was elected to congress to become a member of the Federalist Party. After that President Adams made him secretary of atate. a year later he became the first cheif justice of the U.S Supreme Court. He belived the purpose of the goverment was to protect "life, liberty, and property." I think John Marshall should have become president, but he never did.

I found John Marshall the most interesting person I learned about today in class. First of all he had many siblings and survived! One is enough for me! Also he was enemies and cousins with Thomas Jefferson. They both were amazing men with amazing ideas, and it surprised me to learn that they didn't see eye to eye.

I thought John Marshall was very interesting because he was so smart, honest and very friendly and he was very close to famous people who could teach him a lot like George Washington. I was impressed to find out that he didn't get along with Thomas Jefferson because since they were cousens i thought that they were going to work together and not fight but they had such different thoughts it really surprised me.

I found sageywatha most interesting because she got married when she was only 16. She led two important people in U.S. history Lewis and Clark on all of their expeditions. I think that's interesting because I didn't think two white men would want to trust a Indian woman to lead them to where their going. They would never have been able to move forward and get to where ever they were going with out her so she must have been very important in U.S. history too.

I think that Thomas Jefferson was a very interesting person. I agree with Gabby, that his qualities are what a good president should have. I also think that it's interesting that someone who was obviously well liked was enemies with John Marshall who seemed like a good person. If I hadn't learned about them I would have assumed that they would have been "friends".

I thought that John Marshall was the most interesting person that we learned today because back then he didn't know law that much, but by going to actual cases made him intelligent. It was impressive that he became chief of justice for the U.S Supreme Court. Also he was Thomas Jefferson's cousin who had different ways.

I think that John Marshal was very interesting. It was hard to believe that him and Thomas Jefferson were cousins and didn't get along. I also thought it was cool that he had 15 brothers and sisters and he was the oldest.

I think that John Marshall was the most interesting for many reasons. Three reasons are because its interesting how he was good at sports, how he was fun to be around, and how he is talented. I found it very wierd but interesting when I heard that he was enemies with his cousin Thomas Jefferson.

I really thought that John Marshall was the interseting person that caught my attention. He had a well devoloped mind and had a great concept on things, although Thomas Jefferson and John distrusted each other they were very much alike in their calm nature and respectfulness for the country.

I thought that Alexander Hamilton was the most interesting person we talked about. He had a very interesting personality. Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were rivals. However, when Burr and Jefferson were in a deadlock in the 1800 Presidental Election, Hamilton endorsed Jefferson. Confused, Burr challenged Hamilton to a duel. Burr would kill Hamilton in the end.

One person I thought that was interesting was Thomas Jefferson I didn’t really know a lot about him and I think I learned a lot. I think I learned a lot from all of the people but Thomas Jefferson was more interesting and brought more attention to me. Something’s I learned as that he had a lot of good traits such as he was a very well mannered was very responsible and nice person. This was good because that helped him to be a good President. Also I found out that he was enemies with his own cousin John Marshal, but they hated each other and still agreed on the Alien Act.

I enjoyed Lewis and Clark because they encouraged others to travel to the west. They traveled with from St Louis acoss the mountains to the Pacific Coast. They were sent by Thomas Jefferson. Lewis was an U.S. Army Captain. Lewis chose Clark another Captain to join him. There guide was Sacagawea.
