Some things that I learned while doing my historical fiction short story was learning how to write proper dialogs. The thing I like best about doing that was using my imagination to write a fake/historical story. The challenging part was trying to think of my characters name and who will be the antagonist/protagonist.

I really found it interesting to learn about the final battles in Canada during the French and Indian Wars. The best thing about the assignment for me was that I could pick any storyline from the 18th century to write my story on and so I chose the French and Indian Wars. Two topics were challenging for me. Devolping my characters was the hardest part. Describing the story in depth was also very challenging. The 18th Century is my favorite time period in history so I really enjoyed this assigment.

While working on my short story I learned a lot about the way the war was back then especially because i was writing the essay myself, but i was using prior knowledge and some knowledge from other people. The thing i had trouble with was Intro and the ending, but i think that my ending came out quite well. It was especially hard for me to try and make everything as real as possible, which was the hardest part.

While working on my historical fiction piece, I learned that writing a story is a lot more fun and not as hard as I thought it would be. I had a lot of fun letting all of my ideas flow onto the paper and turning them into something that I could be proud of. Before I started on this project, I thought it would take me forever to think of a good idea for my story, but I was wrong. In the end, I am happy with how my story turned out.

Working on this historical fiction short story was really fun to do, I found it some way hard because i had to make my mind work extra hard to make up a true/not true story. I Learned to write good dialogue, and make a great lead. I think that i could have done much better but i just couldnt think of anything exciting to add to my story. I think that doing drafts
really helped me because it showed the mistakes that i did and how i improved in it.

Working on the historical fiction was quite interesting, because it shows how well you can work in a creative way even though there were certain barriers. I think the hardest part was actually blending creativity with real history. This taught me the harsh truths of our history (the Boston Massacre) and why these things happened.

What I learned doing this project is that to have a great captive story to stay on topic I thought that my first try just moved all over the place and didnt have much point to it. Another thing I learned is adding context clues to the piece to give it some suspence. It thought made me research everything that we already learned to make the stroy accurate.
