I feel as if I have mastered freewriting and some other skills. I have also improved on reading maps. I feel as if I could use some work on writing newspaper articles like feature stories and regular newspapers. Another thing that I improved on this year was parts of speech. I am much better at parts of speech than I was last year. I am sure that I will be able to improve upon thses things throughout the year and next year too.
The standards that I feel I've mastered so far is the organizing part. When I first came to the school, I had a hard time getting my things ready for the next class since I didn't even know what the next class was. Now, I know what my next class will be and what I'll need.
I think I mastered my free writng skills and map reading skills. Last year I was really bad at doing free writing because I always crossed out and erased a lot. Also I thought what I had to write and didn't pour everything out of my brain. Also last year I was really bad at reading maps. If someone told me to find a state or ask me what is a capital of a state or a place I would always struggle finding it and felt like my brain would pop out but now I'm better at it.
I believe I mastered free writing, brainstorming, and other writing related or reading skills. I had trouble free writing years before this because I didn't really think very well of what to write and for brainstorming I had the same problem as free writing last year. I'm glad I improved much better then the previous years.
I feel that I have mastered free writing, reading a map, primary sources, feature articles, KWL charts, note taking and note making. I think that those 6 skills are the easiest and most fun to learn. The skills that i had trouble mastering are, writing a bibliography longitude and latitude, and proof reading and editing. I think that those three skills are the hardest out of all of them, and I am still having a little trouble mastering them.
I think I mastered my free writing skills (just like hanlim) and the organizing part too. I feel that I can write a lot of things on a piece of paper with a topic/sentence. I think that I still need to improve on feature articles and some of the parts of speech. Now I'm sort of understanding the parts of speech and I know that I will master on these things this year and perhaps the next year too.
This year i feel I have mastered freewriting, reading a map, and choosing the just right books. I have mastererd freewriting by not stoping when i write and writing what comes off the top of my head. I have mastered reading of a map and I understand it more than i did last year. I choose the just right book by making sure its not to hard and not to easy and it has some challenging words. This is what i feel ive mastered
Some things i think i mastered in the first trimester is my ability to synthesis information, free writing, discussing books and retelling them, i think i mastered my vocabulary and using different words to replace dull ones. Also i think i mastered reading maps, note taking. i hope i can improve on my spell a grammer check as well as note making.
I feel that I am doing better in Freewrite as well as learning about Maps. I think that learning about the Standards is a very important process which I hope to learn as well this year.
I feel that I have mastered many standards but also need to work on other standards. One Standard that I need to work on is behavior, I sometimes distract the whole class and bother others because of this I need to work on this standard. Another standard I need to work on is my reading stamina, since I have been able to read I havent been able to sit down and read for a long time. One standard that I have mastered is the abilty to write and write and make sense on it. I have mastered the skill of writting.
The three standards I have achieved so far are free-writing, brainstorming, and writing a bibliography. My free-writing has improved by continuously writing and to keep leaving the misspelled words on the paper. My ideas flow more easily. I've trained my mind to always ask questions to help me on my brainstorming. Through my projects I have learned to do a bibliography. I still need to work on my spelling and definitely my grammar. The work I'm doing this year is surely going to help me improve in all the standards.
I think i have mastered the skill of free writing. Also the skill of finding a good book. I still need to brush up on my parts of speech. It is hard for me to reconize parts such as conjunctions, prepositions etc.(I can't tell them apart)
i feel that i ahve mastered the orginized part because i keep my sourse book orginized and my work area to.in the first trimester i was a mess i did not take the right things to every class now i got the hang of things and i have really mastered the origanized part.
I think the standards I've mastered are free writing, organizing my source books, and map reading skills like DOG TAILS. Standards I need to work on is reading because I really think I should start reading more and keeping track of it in my reader's source book. I also need to work on feature articles because I really don't understand what a feature article is and how to write a article.
I fell that I need to work on my listening skills. It's hard for me to focus and pay attention in class. I don't always understand the first time something is said to me. I don't read the directions and rush to the work. I fool around a lot and need to focus more. I work better one on one and when I have to do projects at home because I don't have the pressure. This is what I need to improve on.
I feel that i mastered most of my standards but i needs a little more help in reading over my work and check out my errors. that will help me alot and some of my spellings. when i started writeing in wjps i feel i was getting better.
