i think that our country's changed a lot since its formation. its changed in many big ways such as in population and in laws. we have also polluted the area greatly because of all our cars and factories. i think our core values in this country is its freedom and its people even though there isn't a lot of peace for most people. i also think of our scientists and our education here. oh yea and since you were absent today i don't know what we talked about in class because we watched a video all day
Like Lawrence said, our country has changed a lot over the years. We went from being a country ruled by Great Britain, to a free country that defeated the world's greatest Navy. Over the many years that our country has been free, we accomplised many great feats. We went from a nation of racism and prejudice to a nation where anybody of any race would be treated the same as any one else. Also, many life changing inventions like the cotton gin helped increase our country's value even more. Our country has really gone through so many events that have increased its value, but air polution is not realy helping. That is how I think our country's values have increased over the years.
Also...
Unfortunately, I was not in class Thursday because Lawrence, Adam, some other people from the school and I were interviewed for Channel One. Today, we only watched a movie called "Who Killed The Electric Car?" Do we have any homework on that?

I agree with both Lawrence and Jonathan, in saying that our country has changed a lot since it was first formed. Now we have laws, which back then even if they had, their laws weren't ours today. A value we have as a country is that there are so many different people here. Also, that our country is a free country.
Our country has changed alot since it formed after the American Revolution. We have something that many countries don't have - freedom. America's main attraction is freedom. In the late 1700's we were a young country that had just earned its freedom. Now we are the strongest country in the world. In the 1800s we had just fought the Civil War erasing slavery.
Look at the 21st century. Despite being one of the strongest countries in the world, we still have tons of problems. Problems with pollution, problems with the ecomony and problems with gas prices. Our country has changed for the better and the worst. The best is that we have good education and good medicare. We also have many important industrys.
This country is wonderful.
For me this country has changed ALOT since it was first formed. It's changes are that there is more technology and advansed materials that are taking our focus away. The law is also changing, imigrants are being taken back to their country and prisinors are being punished more. I think the freedom is being more fair but rasesism is still going on for some people. A long time a go when this country was formed, a lot of people and kids worked harder and now i think some people are not working but think only about money and having a fancy, rich life. I like our country now and i think it could get better.
We did not discuss core values and beliefs in class this week. We did watch the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car". In the movie, the Californian government decided to take away all electric cars in 2003. The government thought it was not used by enough people therefore not practical to maintain. Of course smog and pollution has just become worse and worse in the LA area. Which brings asthma and other diseases to children and elderly. Did not get to see the whole film, so not sure how it ends. Maybe they suggested other types of cars or energy. Could we see the rest of the movie?
Since the Declaration of independence, our country’s value has changed greatly. Today, people cannot look down at someone because of his or her skin color or race. There is no racism, no slaves, no discrimination, and everyone is equal.
country has changed a lot since it was first formed. Now we have alot of laws, and back then even if they had, their laws weren't like ours today. A value we have as a country is that there are so many different people here. and also, our country is a free country not like most countrys .

The country usually has major changes after ever war. For instance after the war with Great Britain we became a free nation. After the civil war slavery was abolished, etc. We still have people that are prejudice against other cultures. But most people try to get along.
Technology has improved our country for the better, computers, cell phones, video games has made our lives more pleasurable. Pollution is bad in our country but people are working on making it better.
Our country has changed a great deal in the past centries and decade. When we first settled here, the land was thriving with trees and the air was clean. Now our cars and pollution have contaminated the air. Trees have been cut down to make room for cities. I think you went for a docters appointment when it was 6th and 7th period so i dont remember talking about our core values. Our core values is freedom. The united states is known for the freedom. It's where people came when they were rejected from there original countries or just in search of a better life. Like I read somewhere before, "America is a giant soup boul, with a mix of flavours and taste".(however, I dont know how that has to do with freedom)
Our country has changed in many ways. One way is things are a lot more expensive than it use to be, like gas prices. And long ago kids had to work, but now kids really don't work hard like they use to in those days. I think our core beliefs and values as a country now is our population, which has grown a lot. And the our freedom. Our core belief is probably making our country a better place.
I think the country changed a great deal. Inflation is what gave us a lot of change. Also refering to Lawrence's post the law and population has changed very much in our country. Pollution has increased a lot. I think our core value is about the shared power of the desions we can mkae and try to keep the freedom that we already have by not abusing that choice we have.
Like what Lawrence, Jonathan and Joanna said, our country changed in a lot of ways. Such as population and lawas. Also the polluting by carts and factories. Unlike other countries we have freedom. On Friday, you were absent so we had Ms.Laverda.
I think the formation of our country has changed because when we first started as a contry we really stood back an hided but now we are the one of the powerful country's in the world
I belive our country has changed alot since the begining. It has changed through out the years with its laws. The population has changed alot over the years.I also agree with phil about how we didnt stand out that much at first and now we're a really powerful country.
our country has changed a lot. The country changed a lot because it use to have so much pollution because of all our cars and factories we have. I feel that something we value in this country is our freedom and its peace even though there isn't peace for some people.
i think that our country has definetly changed a lot since it was first formed. Sucha as now, because of Abraham Lincoln we don't have slaver. We beleive that "All men were created equal", which is says in some of the documents. Also the laws have changed allawing people to speak for what they believe in, (unlike we were allowed to do when we were ruled by Brittain) which caused more laws to change, such as womens rights and such.
H.W: Change in country's values:
Since its formatation, I think it changed a lot in the laws. From all of the laws, I think the most important change was that we got freedoms like Jonathan said. We are not ruled by the great bratain anymore. But, there is also a bad change. It is that we have pollution now. We ride cars, and some factories which is causing the global warming.
-I don't understand the other question...
i think our contry has changed alot because now we have alot of laws. And if we had laws back then itwould not have been the same as today.
When we first settled here, the land was thriving with trees and the air was clean. Now our cars and pollution have contaminated the air. Trees have been cut down to make room for cities.so it's not like the it was centuries.after the wars ther really weren't any bad stuff gonig on un like now where we have alot of violence.
Since America has been founded, it has changed gerastically. It changed its amount of states, population, laws, punishments, jobs, freedoms, etc.. Slavery is gone now and women have rights too. In my opinion, America has changed for better and worse. Some changes made America a much happier country. However, some changes, like Lawrence said, pollution has greatly effected the area we live in because cars, and gas was invented.
Our country was founded with the idea of freedom for all. We have expanded and become a large powerful country. People came here to be free to speak and live in freedom. Many people are still coming here for the same reasons. But,many of our leaders are governed by people who want to make money. This is not a good change. We are also destroying the enviroment.
Populations, laws and the technologies changed. Also, the technologies helped change the war stuff and ever since it was formed, they've been more and more stuff cause pollutions.
