In class today we will be exploring the theme of war. Countries have been fighting wars for centuries and will probably continue to fight them so long as people disagree.

I feel that war should be justified, only when there is a very, i mean very great reason for it. It shouldn't be for land or for treasure. Only when there is no other choice should we have war.
There really is so reason for war. Fighting never helps with anything. I don't see what good fighting could do for anyone. People just get hurt and die. Were not getting anything from it were loosing. I think theres always a better way to get what you want.
If you really have to have a war it has to be for a very good reason. Like what if another country attacks your country? Then you have the right to go ahead and fight back, but other than that there really is no reason for war. There are always better ways.
I feel that war should be justified, only when there is a good reason for having wars. It shouldn't be for land or for money . Only when it gets to a pont where they have to and if they have no other choice .

War should never be justified. Lots of people get hurt, and everything is destroyed. People die, and no one really cares. All they care about is winning, and conquering land.
Even if one country attacks the other, we still have no reason to fight back. What they did was wrong, but that does not mean that we have to stoop down to their level. If there is a fight, countries should talk it out.

I feel war is never justified. I think it's a bad way to get what they want like their lands or the money. If they have no other way to get what they want, I think maybe they should trade it with each other. I think even if they don't have any more ways to solve their problem, they shouldn't have a war. It kills a lot of people and people lose their family.
I think that war should always be justified. War is obviously not a good thing. There are always conscquences when you start a war. The leaders of countries should communicate about their conflicts so that maybe a war can be prevented.
If the issues can't be solved then we may be justified to go to battle. War is a powerful source. War is not a joke. When you start a battle you are in it till the very end.
I agree with Gabby. I don't think that war should ever be justified. Too many people get killed and hurt. Right now we are in a war with Iraq and it is pointless. Bush's administration thought that there were tons of nucluear bombs and wepons of mass distruction. We have killed, destroyed, and hurt and so far we have not found anything. It just keeps on going and if they have not found anthin in the past 6 yrs we're not going to find anything. We should not get down to someone elses level if they're doing somthing wrong. It just shows how we just do the same and we made it worse. Our country wants to make peace and they talk about it but we're far from peace if we keep it up with theese wars that people start trying to make with us and we continue them.
I feel some wars are justified but the wars that were justified were in the past like the wars between Greece and Persia. I feel this way because I think Greece was the only country at the time that had enough power army and money to bring down Persia which at the time was a evil country the created a lot of destruction, but wars that are fought today are usually for a stupid reason like oil or terrorist threats. Like the Iraq USA war which was fought because USA suspected Iraq of weapons of mass destruction which in the end wasn't true but actually Afghanistan had the weapons of mass destruction. Some wars are for good cause.
I think war is sometimes justified but only under certain circumstances. Only for important reasons, like freedom because sometimes war becomes the only way to get what you really want.
I believe that war can be justified at times, but sometimes, war can be terribly unjust. Take for example the Revolutionary War. We fought that war to win what we rightfully deserved, freedom. Great England was keeping what we deserved, so we had to do something about that. They did not want to listen to reason, so we decided to use force. We eventually defeated Britain, and won what was rightfully ours. I feel as if that war is a good example of when wars can be justified. However, this does not mean that every war is justified. Some wars are fought because the people starting the war dislike a certain type of person. In example, during World War 2, Hitler wanted to kill the Jewish people just because they were who they were. So many people were killed for no reason at all. Even the people that survived were very sad that their family and friends had been killed. That is an example of when wars can be unjustified. That is when I feel that war can be justified and unjustified.
I think that war is justfied, but under certain cercomstances. If you want to have a war because to you want to gain something, then that's just being greedy. Its different though, if you really NEED something that someone else has. I think that before people have wars, they should think of why they are having a war,who it's going to effect, and if it's really worth it.But, of course, we have those kind of people who don't ask themselves those questions,and only think of themselves and how it's going to effect them.

I think that it depends on the situation. War can be justified if those you are against are unwilling to agree to any terms of peace. Such as in my book. There was an empire that the Imperial Order attacked. They did terrible things to the people in the empire. They slaughtered all the people who wouldn't obey them. They also kept saying things like if they were to stop hiding they woukldn't kill their families. I think that in that situation it is justified for those who are being slaughtered to fight back. But isn't justified for slaughterers to start wars in the first place.
I think wars should be justified if there is a good reason for it. If there isn't a good reason for it I think there shouldn't be wars. If the reason for the war was because of money or land it shouldn't be but if they had a really important reason and they had no choice I think wars should be justified.

i think war is not justified for anything because you could just talk it out and not fight unless they dont agree and you get in to a big fight . still i think that war is not justified for anything.
