Thanksgiving homework

Read an independent reading book and be prepared to give a book talk. We will talk about them in class on Wednesday. I will give out the sheets.

Remember, you have to read 25 books by the end of the year... so that means by the end of the first trimester, you should have read at least 8 (about 8 per trimester)

Have a great holiday!

you need 25 by the end of the year, but they have to be grade level appropriate... any novel that is short or too easy doesn't count.

Continue to challenge yourselves.

Good Afternoon,

I'm reading the comments under "Thanksgiving Homework" and want to remind everyone that 25 books per year is a number used to guide us along the school year. We are all individuals. Some of us will get to 25 by years' end; others will read a lot more. I will continue to encourage you to point questions in the direction that will further your own understanding and learning. An example of a question like this might be, "I've just finished a great collection of short stories that I really enjoyed...might you recommend others?"
