Trip to the Queens Museum Tomorrow

We will be returning no later than 1:30 tomorrow, no later. I know there was some confusion about the return time.

It is NOT 4, it is more likely between 1-1:30.

ms. sackstein, what do you mean about the rough draft of the teenage society?? I asked some of my friends but they were confused about it? Is it the observation I did for field work only?? I'M CONFUSED!!!

Pre-trip activity to activate prior knowledge.

Tomorrow we will see the panorama and do an art project called "City Blocks" where you will create three-dimensional city blocks using a variety of materials.

The panorama is 9,335 square foot architectural model which includes every single building constructed before 1992 in all five boroughs; that is a total of 895,000 individual structures! (QMA)

We encourage you to check out the website tonight at http://www.queensmuseum.org/information/index.htm

We also encourage you to think about your Community Memories' Map Project and your World Geography Brochure. Think about what we have learned about and discussed so far in Humanities from Geography to culture and how they impact one another.

The theme of World Journalism is "Everybody Has A Story". We began the year with a focus on your place in American history, then looked back to the very beginnings of American society.

Think all of this through as we ready for our trip tomorrow, and ready ourselves for a trip ahead through American History.
