Please post your ideas here.

What I learned from reading the standards today was that we have been doing all these standards all throughout the year. The standard of authors craft was one thing for the listening standard. To listen to the choice of words that the presenter is making. Another standard that I've heard from others that we have been doing all this year was to listen attentively to what the presenter is saying instead of asking a question that was already out there. Another standard was to know your material before hand so you can answer any question is thrown at you. With this assignment it matches up with the presentation that we have to make, all these are something that the audience has to do as well as the presenter.
Today in class I learned about the reaing standards, It was about things that we have done over the school year, like take notes from listening to stories, passages and when we watch movies. I heard from Kassie and Maria that one of the standards of Speaking is to make eye contact. I didn't have enough time to go through the whole thing but I did get the point of what we have done over the whole school year.
What I learne in class today is that what we've been doing for most of the year covered most of the listening and speaking standards. One of the standards were to be able to present one or more pespective. We used this standard when we were working on the constitution project; the slide where we had to show the opposing view. Another standard that relates to our presentation for this exit project is that we need to be able to express ideas through different organizational formats, such as all the genres we needed for this project.
Well the standards that I read about in class today was mostly all the standards that we have met and or went over during the entire school year. The standards that I read about was called, Language for literary responce and expression! We learned how to read, write, listen, and speak for literary responce and expression. These are just some of the standards that I have read about.
Today in class i learned about listening standard. The sheet said that student should listen activly for the reason of each person that present. They also said to respond appropiately to the speaker that's presenting. Bascially it means that to listen carefully and clearly, of what they are talking about, and when someone is presenting, and you think it's bad you shouldn't say "it sucks".
In class today, I learned about the standards we need to meet. One of the ones I remember is the one about asking questions. It helped me to get prepared for all the questions that might be asked during the presentation.
What I learned while reading the standards today is that there are many standards that can apply to different projects and the way we form our rubric is by picking the best ones for the project and without those standards we wouldn't be able to do proper work. Even if a many of them apply you don't necessarily have to apply them. I think that giving us the rubric with all the standards is a great way to help our work become more perfect.
Today in class we read a paper listing the listening standards. One thing I remember from reading the paper that relates to the exit project we are doing now is the part that said we have to respect the person who is talking even though they are different race form you, gender, age and etc. I thought that relate to the exit project because when we are presenting on Monday, people that are listening to people presenting should be respectful.
Today in class, the speaking and listening standard that I discussed was about people talking to each other to make sure that what they are about to present is correct and has no errors. Ihave used this standard in the past when I was doing group jigsaws. My group and I conferenced, because waliking up to the class and presenting the wrong information would hurt everyone because they would be getting the wrong notes. This connects to the exit blog project because when everyone has to make their presentations, I am sure that at least some people will talk with their family members or friends about what they are going to say. This can help build your confidence, because knowing that what you are going say is correct, and having practiced prior to the real thing will really help you out.
Today in class I read the "listening skills" page. One of the standards that I feel are most important as a listener was to ask questions and look attentitive. One standard for a speaker that I thought was important was to be able to answer questions that the listeners ask. If you can answer the question, like Jessica said, then that shows that you did learn a lot from your project, and was prepared to present.
Today i learned about the reading standards.I thought the standard which compared the experience of reading info from a textbook compared to seeing it on a video as really important. The other standard i thought was important was the standard in which you need to socialize with your peers. It is very important because if you dont you wont get along well and unless you have a really sparkling reseme this could hurt you in the long run.
today in class we learned about listening skills. the one that is very important is listening attentivley. another one that is very important is knowing what you are talking about an dbeing able to answer the question to the fullest extent.
